Fr. Ben Daghir is the parochial vicar at Holy Spirit Parish. He is also the chaplain at DuBois Central Catholic.
Fr. Ben is the son of Joe and Roben Daghir. He has two brothers, Luke and Nick. His brother, Deacon Luke Daghir, will be ordained a priest for the Diocese of Erie on May 24, 2024.
Before discerning the call to the priesthood, Fr. Ben Daghir studied the field of education at St. Vincent College. Upon graduation, he taught English at Elk County Catholic High School.
Fr. Daghir entered the seminary for the Diocese of Erie in 2016. He studied two years at St. Mark's Seminary in Erie while taking courses at Gannon University. He then studied four years at St. Mary's Seminary & University in Baltimore, Maryland. Upon completion of seminary studies, Fr. Daghir was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Erie on May 27, 2022.
Fr. Ben Daghir speaks Spanish, loves to write, and enjoys hunting and fishing.
